Nestling in the picturesque village of Scorton, near Garstang and gateway to the Trough of Bowland, is The Barn - the award winning shopping experience. A plant & garden centre, gift shop, coffee bar and orchard garden but has a lot more to offer its visitors.
If ever a garden centre had the 'wow factor', then the gorgeous Barton Grange Garden Centre is it. From the moment you step into the houseplant department with its stunning gazebo, through to the fabulous, all-weather outdoor plant area, you can't fail to be inspired by our award-winning displays.
The Applestore Cafe, located in the beautiful walled garden and glasshouse, boasts a full cafe-menu of overstuffed sandwhiches, hearty homemade soups and scrumptious cakes. The cafe is open 9.30am- 4pm Wednesday- Sunday and there is plenty of parking available.
The Old Holly Farm is a family run, working organic dairy farm in Garstang, Lancashire. Open from 9am - 5pm daily, with FREE entry to the open farm (excluding December) and parking. They have a fab indoor soft play, a traditional stone courtyard café serving homemade food, treat yourself to a local Ice cream from our farm shop, or meet traditional farm animals. They also host children's parties, educational trips and have special events throughout the year.
The restaurant itself is situated on the main high street of the picturesque market town of Garstang, the world's first Fair Trade town, and as such Pipers strives to support this ethical stance by using fair trade produce wherever it can. The unique building dates back to the eighteenth century and still retains it quaint character and charm.
In just eight years, this working farm has become the setting for a beautiful country garden. What was once an area for grazing sheep is now bursting with colour and life. This large, tranquil garden contains a wide range of natural environments including a cottage garden, woodland, ponds and streams, rockeries and lawns. Sit on the patio and enjoy the peace of the afternoon, or walk through the orchard full of summer fruits.
See and feed our wildlife which includes Deer, Llamas, Goats. We have lots for kids to do including pedal tractor area, tractor rides, play area, lamb Llama and deer feeding (when available). Picturesque walks in the Trough of Bowland by the river Hodder and visit our cafe for home made food and our own special home reared Wild Boar meat.
Enjoy the atmosphere in the ever popular café, everything is freshly made using locally sourced produce. Open for breakfast and lunch every day (not open in the evenings).
